I only spotted this because it popped up in the recent reviews box. Takes a little while to get started but there are some sublime moments here. Kimock is a player of great subtlety and should definitely play acoustic more often. This is well worth a visit. Let it wash over you.

I don't know much about Kimock's Crazy Engine project but this show sounds really nice:

I really like the Engine stuff but for one thing. Sorry, but the band should really stick to just playing. The vocals can easily cause my stomach to turn inside out and turn burnt umber.
IMHO, of course.

Excellent.

I was so looking forward to hearing them when the first started playing. Now I am so looking forward to them stopping playing. Sorry, Melvin, but your sound makes me look for a monkey to come out with a tin cup hoping for spare change.

You may (or may not) have seen my post to snori yesterday regarding the Crazy Engine - it's Melvin Seal's cheesy nightclub organ sound that kills the deal for me.

"Melvin's Cheesy Organ"

Now THAT'S one hell of a band name. Or a seriously disturbing medical condition.

Melvin and Steve.

The don't do much, but what is done should not be.

IMHO again.

Thanks Rob, another something for the weekend. Looks like it's gonna be a Kimockfest at Chez Snori.
